Higher populated cities are still commanding the most tech growth.  While we have placed students in all 50 states, our largest demographic of hiring comes from California, Illinois, Texas, and New York.  While the cost of living in these states may be higher than in other areas across the country, the fully remote or hybrid model makes offers in these states very attractive to out-of-state graduates.
